Adam Nowell recently graduated (2010), gaining a BA (Hons) in Performance where he majored in Screen Acting.
Before going to train and shift his focus from Stage to Screen, he had a prosperous career in Theatre and Dance Teaching.
He worked for a site specific touring theatre company ('Discarded Nut Theatre Company') for a number of years, worked on a number of productions at the Nuffield Theatre under the direction of Patrick Sandford, he also began teaching tap dance to local youths who had no previous dance experience for two years after having reached the highest standard in ISTD Tap just to mention some of his accolades.
Adam has always been interested in every aspect of the performance industry having had extensive dance training, singing experience and now, both stage and screen. He has also worked behind the scenes having been Assistant Director on Encore Theatre Company's production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (2008) at the Theatre Royal, Winchester as well as having directed and edited a number of pieces for others, including their Showreels, Festival Submissions and Student Productions.
However when he worked on a Documentary for the BBC ('Guernica Generation') a few years ago he developed a taste for screen acting and has recently finished filming for a new documentary airing on the Crime Channel (Sky) in March/April this year.
Having very recently played the lead in award winning short film 'Blockage' (Inspire Film Festival's Best HD Drama & Best Film in Festival 2010) it was also selected to be the closing film of the Southampton Film Festival. It is now being submitted to two international film festivals, this has helped Adam really start to get his name and face into the industry's gaze.
